Hudco Formula 4000
Ballistic Grade Aramid Fiber Reinforced
Wear Compound
For Quick Lasting Protection And Repair Of Equipment Worn By Abrasion
High-strength epoxy resins combined with alumina beads and silicon
carbide give HUDCO Formula 4000 excellent wear-resistant characteristics
and a low-friction surface. Originally designed by HUDCO for quick repairs
in worn chutes, impact plates, slurry pumps and lines and other similar
equipment, HUDCO Formula 4000 has many uses, in other areas because
it adheres to both metallic and non-metallic surfaces.
Reinforced with Ballistic Grade Aramid Fiber
After 12 years of unequaled performance, HUDCO in 1994 reformulated
Formula 4000 to include ballistic grade aramid fiber reinforcement in the polymer matrix.
The addition of ballistic grade aramid fiber, one of the toughest materials in existence,
has significantly improved the phenomenal properties of HUDCO Formula
4000. The unique concept of using ballistic grade aramid fiber to reinforce the matrix
of HUDCO Formula 4000 demonstrates HUDCO's commitment to world class
technology.
